FOUR-LAYER PUDDING DESSERT
(serves 12-16)

LAYER #1:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cube butter, melted
Mix ingredients and pat out in 9" by 13" pan. Bake at 350° for
15 minutes. Let cool.

LAYER #2
6 oz. Cool Whip (1/2 of a 12 oz. container; save the rest for
Layer #4)
1- 8 oz. package cream cheese
2/3 cup powdered sugar
Beat together with electric mixer and spread over cooled crust.

LAYER #3
2 small pkg (4-serving size) INSTANT pudding, any flavor*
3 cups milk
Beat together for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Spread
over Layer #2.

LAYER #4
Spread rest of Cool Whip (6 oz.) over the above. Sprinkle with
more chopped walnuts. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

* Chocolate fudge, lemon, or pistachio are especially good.
Or you can use two flavors -- they won't run together.
* I used a 16-oz. container of Cool Whip and split it in half.
